Drinking yogurt can reduce your risk of obesity.

In total, the study, which lasted a quarter of a century, was attended by almost 90 thousand people. During the study period, 5811 cases of the development of adenomas (benign tumors) in men and 8116 in women were identified. Scientists found that in men who consumed yogurt for at least twice a week, the risk of developing benign tumors was lower by 19%, and the appearance in the large intestine of adenomas that could degenerate into cancer was reduced by 26%. At the same time, such a relationship was not revealed in women.

Scientists have long stated that the natural intestinal microflora plays an important role, and therefore, regular consumption of probiotics is extremely important for health.

Previously, scientists proved that regular use of yogurt can help in the fight against inflammatory processes. In addition, yogurt helped improve glucose metabolism in experiment participants who were overweight.

"Friendly bacteria" are also able to prevent obesity and protect people from a variety of diseases, including diabetes and cardiovascular disease.

Yogurt owes its positive properties to probiotics - living microorganisms that benefit the host when administered in adequate quantities. In the future, it can be used as a natural prevention of Alzheimer's disease and autism.

As scientists noted, in the future, probiotic bacteria can also be used to deliver drugs to the intestines.

In addition, probiotics have a beneficial effect on the skin and contribute to its healing. They increase the moisture level of the skin by secreting sebum, making the skin look youthful and supple.

Recent studies prove that regular consumption of yogurt helps maintain a stable weight and is a key element in building a healthy diet. One serving of yogurt per day reduces the risk of developing type 2 diabetes by 18%, and is also the prevention of cardiovascular disease, metabolic syndrome and reduces the risk of obesity. Moreover, it does not matter if it was fatty or diet yogurt.

The positive effect of yogurt on the body is extensive and above all
related to the nutritional value of this product:

The role of yogurt in issues of healthy eating and weight management is especially relevant in the light of existing trends in modern society. Over the past 10 years, Russia has seen a significant increase in the prevalence of obesity.

Considering the positive properties of yogurt, scientists consider this product as one of the nutritional factors that can potentially affect the prevalence of this disease.

For the first time in Russia, with the support of the Federal State Budgetary Institution Nutrition and Biotechnology Federal State Budgetary Institution, studies were conducted on the relationship between yogurt consumption and its effect on reducing the risk of overweight. *

Scientists of the Federal Research Center for Nutrition, Biotechnology and Food Safety spoke about the results of these studies during a press conference held with the support of the Danone Group of Companies in Russia.

Researchers have found that the inclusion of yogurt in the diet affects metabolism and, ultimately, the person’s body weight. The studies were attended by 12,000 Russian families. The monitoring duration was 19 years.

During the observation, it was found that women who regularly consume yogurt are less common overweight and obesity. They also have a significantly lower ratio of waist circumference and hip circumference. The established relationship between the consumption of yogurt and the prevalence of overweight refers only to the female half of the studied. In relation to men, such a relationship did not arise.

An interesting discovery was the discovery of another feature: people who regularly consume yogurt also include nuts, fruits, juices and green tea in their diet, consume less sweets and, in general, try to eat more properly.

The scientific findings were also confirmed in another large-scale epidemiological study organized by the Federal Statistical Service in conjunction with the FSBI Research Institute of Nutrition during statistical observations on socio-demographic problems and the implementation of the action plan for the implementation of the “Fundamentals of the State Policy of the Russian Federation in the field of healthy nutrition for the period up to 2020 ”.

Similar studies were conducted in different countries: Spain, Greece, USA. The findings of our scientists on the basis of studies in the Russian population confirmed the opinion of foreign colleagues and were presented at international scientific conferences.
